There is a lot to read about this Seth Thomas Clock. Antique Seth Thomas Retro Westminster Chime Mahogany Beehive Shelf Mantle Clock. Seth Thomas Clock Company. This model number is shown in the Seth Thomas Tran Duy Ly Book. Original factory finish on this ribbon mahogany cabinet. The clock also has a raised trim over the center part of the front of the cabinet. The clock has seen very good care and there are no signs of neglect or abuse. This Seth Thomas Westminster chime clock has been sitting for over thirty years in my collection, it will require restoration. This Westminster Chime Clock was another Seth Thomas Classic of the 1940’s. The 5 3/8 inch raised timetrack along with the fancy open cut Deco style brass hands give the dial and extremely stylish look against the mahogany cabinet. This clock shows no signs of abuse or neglect. With normal restoration on the movement you will have a great Westminster chime clock. The springs are fine in the clock. This clock also has its original brass bezel and convex glass to protect the dial. Also the Seth Thomas name can be found on the dial as well. This clock measures 8 1/4 inches in length by 10 3/4 inches in height. The cabinet has its original factory mahogany finish and it still retains a nice shine after 80 years after leaving the Seth Thomas factory. The case has a little wear on it as you can see this in my photo’s but it is an used antique and this would have some on it. The case is in very good condition there are no broken or missing trim pieces and there are no loose joints or anything coming apart. Seth Thomas quality and craftsmanship all the way in this clock. Original Seth Thomas cast iron & brass pendulum disc & winding key. The movement model is a Seth Thomas 124 movement it is in very good operating condition. It is a eight day spring wound time & strike movement that announces and counts the quarter hours leading up to the hour. It announces a tune for the first quarter hour followed by a another tune for the half hour and three tunes for the 3/4 hour leading up to playing four tunes and then proceeding to count the desired hour it is on. This chime system works off of 5 chime hammers on five good quality chime rods. This movement was also ultrasonically cleaned and oiled. This movement has been keeping good time here at the house and striking the hour and half hour correctly as well. These clocks do require proper set up and adjustments to make them fully operational and to get 100 percent enjoyment out of the delicate instruments. Antique Seth Thomas 8 Day “Beehive” Style Striking Mantle Clock. This beautifully styled clock was made by The Seth Thomas Clock Co. In Thomaston, Connecticut, USA during the earlier 1900’s. It features a quality Seth Thomas #89 movement which has been cleaned and is in good running order, keeping time and gonging properly. The nicely styled mahogany case is still in the original finish. It is in very good condition and beautiful in appearance. The original painted dial and brass bezel assembly is also in remarkable shape. The dial shows some age and the brass is tarnished, but it would be hard to find one this old in any better condition. It also comes complete with the original key and pendulum. The measurements are 8 ½” wide x 9 ¼” high x 5 ½ deep. This helps ensure that the new owner will have a satisfying experience. Be very sure to save all packaging material if there is a problem. All sales are final (with the exception noted below). It is nearly impossible to find one in “mint” condition. If a clock has damage from misuse, it will be noted. Antique Sessions Beehive Style Mantle Clock With Inlay Concord Model. This is a beautiful clock. It was made by the Sessions Clock Co. USA during the early 1900’s and has the original 8 Day signed Sessions movement which has been cleaned and serviced and is in good running condition. It counts each hour on an antique cathedral style gong and announces each half hour with a single toll. The case is in very good condition with the nicely aged original finish and a beautifully done string inlay design below the dial. It measures 8 ½” wide x 13 ¾” high x 6 deep. It even still maintains the original label inside the back door! The signed Sessions porcelain dial and brass bezel assembly is in very nice condition. These 100+ year old porcelain dials are a bit scarcer to find and very attractive. This clock comes complete with a key and the original pendulum. This is a very nice clock, works great, keeps good time – we ran it for 2 weeks and it kept perfect time. Glass is in very nice condition. We recommend set up by someone qualified or knowledgeable. Antique New Haven 8 Day Chiming Beehive Style Mantle Clock RUNS. Here is a very nicely styled antique shelf clock made by the New Haven Clock Co. USA during the early 1900’s. The original label names it the Aurora. It has the original signed New Haven 8 day time and strike movement which is running good, keeping time and gonging properly. It counts the hour and announces each half hour on an antique cathedral style gong. It has the original signed porcelain dial and solid brass bezel and beveled glass crystal assembly that is in very nice condition for its age. There may be light scratches on the glass which is common on all antique clocks. The beehive or cathedral style case measures 12 ½” high x 8 ½” wide x 5 deep and still has the original finish. It is in nice shape, but is worn and aged, so should be expected to look antique or rustic in appearance. This clock really needs nothing but winding to be able to sit up on the mantle and enjoy. It comes complete with the original pendulum and a key that fits. This helps insure that the new owner will have a satifying experience.
