By Charles PILLET (Rome Prize Winner). In very fine condition as scanned, rim nicks, edge marked with triangle (Arthus Bertrand). Reference : see Arthus Bertrand 1925 catalogue. French medallist, he studied under CHAPU and CHAPLAIN. Studied at the École des Arts décoratifs from 1885 then in 1886 at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts. Won the Premier Grand Prix de Rome de gravure en médailles in 1890. Won the Silver Medal at 1900 Exposition Universelle. Created the medal of general Portifirio Diaz president of Mexico. One of his last creations is the medal of the music editor Francis Salabert he made at the age of 83. OR ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD.
