This is a WBC style Victorian hive, which is the model most people think of in terms of bee hives. Unlike the box hives, this is a double layered system that is well insulated and dry. This is an old inherited hive and presumed to be at least 50yrs old possibly a lot older! Great condition, robust and solidly built and freshly painted inside and out. This is a big heavy hive that would be lovely as a garden ornament or focal feature. However, its also fully usable and comes with. 1 x Hive stand, complete with entrance and solid base. 4 x lifts (lower lift has attached porch). 1 x traditional roof with vents front and back. Very heavy and thick wood. 1 x brood chamber. 2 x supers (honey levels). 1 x queen excluder. 1 x crown board with holes for bee escapes. This is collection only. I could attach to a pallet but I think that would be an expensive option. Around 107 high and lifts are roughly 52cm square. This is a beautiful, well built and historical hive and would look superb in any garden. (A couple more hives of different style are currently being refurbished and will be listed shortly).
