Bee my honey?? The coolest Bee charm I have ever encountered, how about zee? Extremely Rare Authentic Original Edwardian Art Deco Early 1900s 14K Gold Tiny Miniature Highly Detailed Three Dimensional Full Body Free Standing Bee Hive Eckfeldt & Ackley Pendant Charm?? Fully hallmarked on the bale 14K followed by the Eckfeldt & Ackley Inc. Eckfeldt & Ackley were active from 1896 to 1937 in Newark New Jersey. Weighs approximately 1.8 grams. Approximately 8.6 mm (5.2/16 of an inch) in height from bee head top to rectangular bottom base which is 8.2 mm (4.8/16 of an inch) x 8 mm (4.7/16 of an inch). The bee being approximately 4 mm (2.4/16 of an inch) in length and approximately 3 mm (1.9/16 of an inch) in width, furthest wing edges. The tiny bee is so finely detailed that with a magnifying loop one can even see its mandibles attached to the bee hive, no photos can do this art piece justice since one truly needs a magnifying loop to appreciate all the tiny details! Miniature sculpture at its best of a bee and its hive in solid 14K gold! One of the earliest and nicest bee charms I have encountered, I have seen countless copies and fakes, so finding this authentic original one is a treasure of a sweet treat! Two 1900s Ackermann & Fritze Volkstedt Royal Vienna style porcelain Cup and Saucer matched set. Beehive/Shield with gilt painted number (4) identifying the painter on each piece. Beautiful hand painted sky-floating heavenly Cherub angels shown with rose flowered wreaths and cherubs holding flower baskets, one with bow and arrow another with sparkling red torches and one holding a staff and dove. The sets are painted in a soft turquoise color with gold damask accents. Gilt handles and rims. Ackermann and Fritze was established in Rudolstadt-Volkstedt Germany in 1908, manufacturing fine luxury porcelain. There are several marks on the bottom of these lovely pieces. Each piece has been numbered with number 4 painted in gilt. Numbers were added to the the undersides to ensure painters responsible for the piece(s) were paid for the right pieces. Saucers show several impressed letters and numbers. “Moulders and turners were assigned numbers from 0-60″. The number 15 can be seen impressed on a saucer. Other impressed marks would indicate internal company marks and information possibly plant location? Of which I could not determine. Visible company impressions are marked on one saucer in the set — K, 471, and 1, along with moulder/turner’s number 15. All four pieces are marked with painter’s number 4. Cups measure 3-3/4″ wide, 2″ tall. This Royal Vienna porcelain set is in beautiful excellent condition. No cracks or crazing. A slight chip on one saucer rim as shown in last picture. Requests have been made to separate this set of 4 into two separate sets of 2 pieces each. One saucer contains all the important Ackermann & Fritze Royal Vienna markings (factory, location, turner, more) of the porcelain’s origin. If separated, one of the two cup & saucer sets contains the very most important part of the Royal Vienna set… One saucer in the 4-piece matched set contains the embedded. Provenance of the set. For this reason I feel it is important to keep the set together as not to lose provenance in one set.
