A fine antique Victorian graduated cranberry glass oil lamp shade of beehive shape, the whole with lovely acid etched flower head and leaf decoration, this really is a great shade, a wonderful example, it measures approx. 20cm high, the opening where it sits on the lamp measures approx. Good condition for its age, a nice example, some minor marks and scratches due to its age, nothing serious, please see photos. All my items are packaged and handled to a very high standard of care. Antique 19th Century EDMANDS & CO Salt Glaze Bee Hive Jug w/ Cobalt Blue Floral. Edmands & Co was located in Charlestown Mass and operated from around 1850 to 1865. Charlestown was famous for its earthenware. There were huge clay deposits in the area and early potters used the clay from these pits to make their pots. This jug is a wonderful example of Edmands & Co stoneware. It is a 2 gallon bee hive shaped jug with a wonderful free hand cobalt floral. The jug is in very good condition. There is one minor flaw on the front of the jug (see photos). Other than this, I can find no cracks or chips. A truly wonderful piece of early stoneware.
