Here we have a tough to find and very originally pretty R. Torrey Bangor Maine, Inventor of the Maine State Bee Hive! He is the only cwt issuer in the whole state of Maine! NGC blew it Big Time, and graded this MS64 Brown: it has it’s “original skin” never (and I stress Never) having been cleaned, “MS70ed”, brushed etc. Luster is semi-pl bright and all over the place, under original polychrome greens, blues, golds, rose etc. Peek-a-boo Original Mint Red is evident on both sides… It’s didn’t “64” because of marks-NGC just does not appreciate Originality… It’s a VERY nice token!
