These are well known, they are a Victorian reproduction in the Minton style. This one is the most popular Beehive model. What sets it apart from a lot off the rest that are available for sale is the fact that it is completely perfect and undamaged. Kind of the Holy Grail for collectors of Majolica. No chips, no cracks, no nibbles. Crazing to glaze on the plate but they all have that. 19 cm high to the top of the handle. Dish 21 cm diameter. Whole item weighs 1175 grammes. STUNNING Early MCCOY STONEWARE POTTERY BEEHIVE RINGED RIBBED BLENDED MAJOLICA GLAZE DRIP JARDINIERE PLANTER. Vivid Green Brown Yellow & Blue Glaze. Measures a large 9 3/4 inches tall, 12 inches across the widest point and 7″ diameter at the base (10 3/4″ diameter at the top). Unmarked (except for the number “2” on bottom) but these early stoneware items were not marked by McCoy, as shown in the Sanford Guide to McCoy Pottery. Nice condition with one 1 hairline (see photos #10 and #11), crazing and other surface marks (see photos). Dates to 1920’s timeframe. Super mission arts and crafts style form! SIZE : Total height is 28 Tall. Base at widest point is about 10 across and 18-1/2 tall. Jardiniere is 11 wide 9-1/2 tall. CONDITION : A couple tiny flea chips to just the glaze see pics. No cracks or hairlines, very clean and crazing is light and uniform.
