This method of beekeeping has been around for hundreds of years and is for simple and easy beekeeping, You spend more time spent enjoying honey and less time fiddling around disturbing bees. If you live in the UK look for the Native European Dark bee (Apis Mellifera Mellifera) these bees are acclimatised to the British Isle. No building, No screws, No drills or working out where parts go. Just place the hive where you want it. If possible a South East facing hive is a good place to begin. Morning sun afternoon shade. In commercial beekeeping many colonies perish from starvation when using British National or Langstroth hives simply because they cant make the journey to their food stores up in the supers. These frames minimise starvation and lost hives. The frame size also aids the bee with pest and bug control, getting easy access to their food stores and keeping the hive warm during cold winters and cool during the summer. Enjoy beekeeping with this hive. Beekeeping is as easy as growing tomatoes and with this hive you will enjoy looking after your bees, watching them create comb and build a nest for their young. If you use Natural beekeeping methods with these hives then weekly checking is not required. Check on your bees two or three times per year. With this hive you have.
