Solitary Bee Observation Hive, Insect House, Large Fully assembled. 340mm x 340mm x 205 mm. Complete with 6 Nest Chamber Blocks each with 4 Nest Chambers, each of those with 6 nesting tunnels with varying tunnel sizes (10mm, 8mm, 6mm) to suit a variety of insect species and 4 Observation Nest Chambers (with removable acrylic plates). Removable panels for observation on both sides. Top attic space for hibernating insects. External woodwork is 19mm solid untreated timber. A weatherproof treatment is recommended to keep nest boxes dry. This is the perfect addition to any beekeepers or bee lovers garden – a. For anyone wanting to help beneficial bees and insects. It is also the perfect alternative to keeping a hive of honey bees – no knowledge or labour is required. There is as much pleasure and learning from watching the activities of solitary bees as from keeping honey bees and solitary bees are totally benign – so this is beekeeping without the sting. This is new beekeeping bee keeping observation hive. It is made out of pine and comes unstained. Corners are glued with outdoor glue and screwed for extra strength. Show off your bees. There is nothing is better than a good visual aid and this is a good one to have. Very classy looking hive. It holds 8 medium frames and has groves to keep frames from moving out of place. Since this is a small hive for the bees they will place there dead in the bottom. There is a chamber that can be sealed off with a peice of posterboard to get rid off any dead bees or to feed. The exit hole is 1 1/2 So a pipe/hose can be lead any where you would like. NOTHING NEEDED BUT YOUR FRAME AND BEES DO NOT PUT YOUR HIVE IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT Has screws to keep the doors closed. The viewing area is Plexiglass Easy to use. Just suppy the frame and bees hardware may change The observation hive holds 8 medium Langstroth frame.
