Sliipware is the term used to describe this type of exterior painting. It is thicker and has a three-dimensional quality. It is made by using ground up pieces of glaze mixed in with fresh glaze that is painted on the outside of the pottery piece in traditional patterns. This pitcher is medium in size and A classic representation of pottery from this region around the time of the early 1900s and Late 1800s.
