Rare Sabino Les Abeilles Beehive French Opalescent Blue Art Glass Vase Signed. This is a beautiful Rare Sabino “Les Abeilles” Beehive 1930 (page 29 of the Sabino Art Glass Catalogue) Embossed French Opalescent Blue Art Glass Vase features bees on honey combs on a geometric art deco pattern, signed in script Sabino France on bottom as well as foil sticker Sabino made in France. Sabino glass was made in the 1920s and 1930s in Paris, France. Sabino himself was known for creating lights ranging from small lamps to large chandeliers, and also architectural lighting for hotels and restaurants. Production stopped during World War II but resumed in the 1960s with the manufacture of nude figurines and small opalescent glass animals. The new pieces are a slightly different color and can be recognized. This vase is in very good condition. There is a small internal hairline crack on top rim and 2 internal hairline cracks on bottom rim – see last 3 pictures (only noticeable upon close inspection), there is a small piece of tape on bottom holding down sticker! RARE 1950s Eames Era 4 Light Brass Wall Sconce. Today i have this Great Eames-Era Wall Sconce for Sale. This is an Impressive Light which is Made of Brass and has 4 Etches Glass Shades. I Like the Mid Century Danish Modern Look with the Atomic Beehive Shades. The Light uses 60 Watt bulbs and is in Great Vintage Shape. The Sconce Can Be Used Either With the Cones Upward or Downwards. The Light is about 23.5 inches Wide, 16 inches Tall and each Shade alone is 11 inches. Part of aging is that metal will change colors and add certain patinas to it. Also you often get a corrosion of metal in smaller areas. This is also true with these light but to me, it adds More Charm to Them. Please notice the Pictures.
