This listing is for an unpainted hive. I will add some better pictures of the unpainted hive, but the two I have give you an idea. Also the pictures of the painted ones show what you can do to them. When I bought my first hive and I was putting it together I was disappointed in what I had bought. So once I had decided I wanted more hives I thought I would make my own. My hives are over engineered wherever possible. Everything is glued and screwed/holes filled before painting. I like to pay attention to detail and build them just like I would if they where for my bees. All the bee spaces are correct (bottom bee space). Stand tanalised timber with oak legs. Mesh floor with underfloor entrance. Ply/pine Brood box with metal frame runners, no frames. 2 supers, ply/pine no frames. Multi purpose crown board, built to fit a rapid feeder without the need for an eke, 12mm ply floor (not flimsy like mass produced, will easily take a full feeder or block of fondant and not sag and close the bee space underneath) and pine sides. Shallow galvanised roof made with timber sides and it has 25mm insulation built into it. Orders for 2021 nucs being taken. Any questions feel free to ask.
