Hive has access hole in main body of the brood box, with an entrance cover designed to adjust the size of the tap-hole in the hive and protect the beehive from the mouse attacks in autumn and winter. This allows for easy control over the size of the entrance hole and also allows for simple shutdown of the colony on a occasions such as moving the hive. This hive has been well maintained and fully stripped down, cleaned with sodacrystal solution and fired every year it has been in use. Used for 2 seasons with same colony. Also comes with a Thornes English. Rapid plastic feeder with one central hole. Bees come up through the hole and over the dome. A cup over the dome allows feed to flow into the central area but prevents bees from escaping into the feeder. Is 330 x 390m x 71mm. It will fit into all standard hives.
