National beehive excellent condition. 1 brood box, 1 super, 1 queen excluder and 1 crown board. Painted using Cuprinol Country Cream Garden Shades range so easy to repaint or coordinate with other hive parts. Main entrance is closed but the entrance reducer is easily removable. Hive has access hole in main body of the brood box, with an entrance cover designed to adjust the size of the tap-hole in the hive and protect the beehive from the mouse attacks in autumn and winter. This allows for easy control over the size of the entrance hole and also allows for simple shutdown of the colony on a occasions such as moving the hive. This hive has been well maintained and fully stripped down, cleaned with sodacrystal solution and fired every year it has been in use. Used for 2 seasons with same colony. Also comes with a Thornes English. Rapid plastic feeder with one central hole. Bees come up through the hole and over the dome. A cup over the dome allows feed to flow into the central area but prevents bees from escaping into the feeder. Is 330 x 390m x 71mm. It will fit into all standard hives. To make a new hole in the crownboard. Capacity 6 litres/1.3 gallons/10.5 pints. Can be refilled with ease without removing it from the hive.

Bee Hive. Cedar. National 14×12. With Two Supers. With Stand. Used

They are all the same age, five or six years, and in the same quite good condition. They have recently been given an external top-up coat of decking oil and they have been sterilized internally by scorching. The supers are in very good condition because they have always been stored indoors over winter. Each hive consists of:- Hive stand with landing board made from treated pine. A cedar National 14×12 deep brood box with stainless steel runners. Wood framed stainless steel queen excluder. Two cedar National supers with 10 frame castelation spacers. Four-inch roof with galvanized steel top. I have not included frames but I can supply some used frames if required. See my other items for sale.

Total of 4 Top Bar Beehives – Various states of repair or finishing off. 2 brand New unfinished project – needs roof and legs. 2 Used – Legs rotted out but main body on both is still very sound. Have to sell as I sadly don’t have the time for this project anymore. All have been stored in dry shed. Great project and affordable way to get into top bar beekeeping.
