Bee Hive. Cedar. National 14x12. With Two Supers. With Stand. Used

They are all the same age, five or six years, and in the same quite good condition. They have recently been given an external top-up coat of decking oil and they have been sterilized internally by scorching. The supers are in very good condition because they have always been stored indoors over winter. Each hive consists of:- Hive stand with landing board made from treated pine. A cedar National 14×12 deep brood box with stainless steel runners. Wood framed stainless steel queen excluder. Two cedar National supers with 10 frame castelation spacers. Four-inch roof with galvanized steel top. I have not included frames but I can supply some used frames if required. See my other items for sale.

Total of 4 Top Bar Beehives – Various states of repair or finishing off. 2 brand New unfinished project – needs roof and legs. 2 Used – Legs rotted out but main body on both is still very sound. Have to sell as I sadly don’t have the time for this project anymore. All have been stored in dry shed. Great project and affordable way to get into top bar beekeeping.

Only used for a couple of months and since stored dry and safe. A Polystyrene (Poly) hives offer exceptional thermal performance and durability whilst maintaining an ergonomic design. This means a higher honey production compared to wooden hives, but with minimal weight. These types of polystyrene hive do not use crown boards, instead have an in built feeding system for fondant so that you don’t need an eke. Langstroth roof – Painted in Green. Langstroth floor and varroa mesh – Painted green. 1 full depth Body. Full width rapid feeder. This is probably the most technically advanced hive currently available in the UK. The material of construction, high density polystyrene, now dominates the market in many part of europe and there are tens of thousands of hives like this in use and the british beekeeper can be reassured this is a high quality product that works.
