All these items and a full description of the hive can be found on the Paynes beekeeping website. This is listed as collection only. It is tough, but the risk in transit would be the purchasers.

They are all the same age, five or six years, and in the same quite good condition. They have recently been given an external top-up coat of decking oil and they have been sterilized internally by scorching. The supers are in very good condition because they have always been stored indoors over winter. Each hive consists of:- Hive stand with landing board made from treated pine. A cedar National 14×12 deep brood box with stainless steel runners. Wood framed stainless steel queen excluder. Two cedar National supers with 10 frame castelation spacers. Four-inch roof with galvanized steel top. I have not included frames but I can supply some used frames if required. See my other items for sale.

This kit includes the following and is collection only. Home made stand, all have been painted with a bee friendly stain to ensure weatherproofing. Open mesh floor with varoa board. 14×12 brood unused with new self spacing Hoffman frames and new wax fitted this week. Brood blanking board – ideal for when the hive is starting to build. Entrance blocks/escapes 1 wood 1 wasp and a mouse guard. Plastic Queen excluder (new). 2 Supers, including new frames and new wax. Crown board fitted with 2 porter bee escapes. Rhombus bee escape fitted to board and wooden surround – to clear bees, this board will also adapt so that you can feed a bucket of inverted syrup. This hive has been used for just one season (some of the equipment has not been used at all) and has been cleaned and burnt out to avoid any possible disease transfer between bees.
