Extremely Rare Authentic Original Edwardian Art Deco Early 1900s 14K Gold Tiny Miniature Highly Detailed Three Dimensional Full Body Free Standing Bee Hive Eckfeldt & Ackley Pendant Charm?? Fully hallmarked on the bale 14K followed by the Eckfeldt & Ackley Inc. Eckfeldt & Ackley were active from 1896 to 1937 in Newark New Jersey. Weighs approximately 1.8 grams. Approximately 8.6 mm (5.2/16 of an inch) in height from bee head top to rectangular bottom base which is 8.2 mm (4.8/16 of an inch) x 8 mm (4.7/16 of an inch). The bee being approximately 4 mm (2.4/16 of an inch) in length and approximately 3 mm (1.9/16 of an inch) in width, furthest wing edges. The tiny bee is so finely detailed that with a magnifying loop one can even see its mandibles attached to the bee hive, no photos can do this art piece justice since one truly needs a magnifying loop to appreciate all the tiny details! Miniature sculpture at its best of a bee and its hive in solid 14K gold! One of the earliest and nicest bee charms I have encountered, I have seen countless copies and fakes, so finding this authentic original one is a treasure of a sweet treat!
