Handmade National Bee Hive , Ready To Begin Beekeeping. Everything has been built by myself using materials and methods that I know work and last. I know this because I make and use my own hives for my bees. I just thought it would be nice to build some to sell during lockdown. All the bee spaces are correct, and it has been painted using 3 coats of Cuprinol outdoor paint, so it will last a long time. Entrance unit (half mesh, best of both worlds, underfloor entrance). Brood box with frames and foundation on request (14×12 available on request). 2 supers, only one with frames and foundation on request. Multi purpose crown board, built to fit a rapid feeder without the need for an eke. Shallow galvanised roof made with timber sides and it has 25mm insulation built into it. I know this because I make and use my own hives for my bees. I just thought it would be nice to build one to sell during lockdown. Entrance unit (half mesh, best of both worlds, underfloor entrance). Brood box with frames and foundation (14×12 available on request). 1 super with frames and foundation. Multi purpose crown board, built to fit a rapid feeder without the need for an eke. Deep galvanised roof made with plastic sides and it has 50mm of kings pan insulation built into it to help keep the bees warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Any questions feel free to ask. A Beautiful Full National with Gabled roof. Our Great Beginners Kit inc Frames and Wax. We are going away for Christmas so any orders placed now will be built after we return in the new year. Happy Christmas to you all. We love our garden as well as our bees and believe a bee hive should be part of the garden furniture and nice to look at. Most hive are just wooden boxes and do nothing for the look of your garden. So I built my hives so that when friends and family visit it adds to the experience if I show them my bees in a special hive. I have been keeping bees for years and I have always built my own bee hives and as Uncle Albert from Only Fools and Horses might say During the Lockdown I built several more to keep me busy during lockdown. My hives proved quite popular and after I stopped making them I still had enquires asking when I would make them again. Well, now with another lockdown pending here I go again. I always thought about making a Christmas batch and will probably keep going this time. Have a Question or want to add to your order? Our hives are partly built with only the roof being flat packed. The hives are built from 19mm hardwood external ply and painted in Cuprinal Garden colours and are screwed together. This Kit includes the frames and foundation. These need to be built and are flat packed because they are too delicate when to send when they are complete. Full instructions with photos are included. In the box you will receive. · Brood Box x 1- Including frames and Foundation. · Super Box x 2. · Complete set of assembly instructions that includes step by step photos. NOTE: In this order you will not receive glue, nails, bees. Our Bee hives are built in Tattershall, Lincolnshire and our customers are more than welcome to collect.
