The brood box can be run as two individual colonies if required. We’ve consolidated all our hives to National format so this one became surplus to requirements. This hive hadn’t been used for several years, and wax moth had destroyed any wax left in it. It has since had a thorough disinfection and all frames and other removal parts were soaked in recommended solutions.
