Handmade National Bee Hive , Ready To Begin Beekeeping. Everything has been built by myself using materials and methods that I know work and last. I know this because I make and use my own hives for my bees. I just thought it would be nice to build some to sell during lockdown. All the bee spaces are correct, and it has been painted using 3 coats of Cuprinol outdoor paint, so it will last a long time. Entrance unit (half mesh, best of both worlds, underfloor entrance). Brood box with frames and foundation on request (14×12 available on request). 2 supers, only one with frames and foundation on request. Multi purpose crown board, built to fit a rapid feeder without the need for an eke. Shallow galvanised roof made with timber sides and it has 25mm insulation built into it. FLAT PACKED NATIONAL BEEHIVE – FREE P&P TO MAINLAND UK. A complete, FLAT PACKED , National Beehive made by Thornes in our factory in Lincolnshire. Made from home grown Cedar from sustainable forests. Timber may have solid live knots. All frames are second quality and made predominantly from Russian Redwood. Brood body with 11 D. 4 frames on metal runners with standard wired foundation. Two supers each with 10 SN1 frames on metal castellations with 20 sheets of british standard shallow wired foundation. Crownboard with two plastic porter bee escapes. Instructions, nails and glue. Get it fast – we offer overnight courier as standard to most of the mainland UK if ordered before 3pm. The couriers do not deliver during the weekend. Check out my other items. We love our garden as well as our bees and believe a bee hive should be part of the garden furniture and nice to look at. Most hive are just wooden boxes and do nothing for the look of your garden. So I built my hives so that when friends and family visit it adds to the experience if I show them my bees in a special hive. I have been keeping bees for years and I have always built my own bee hives and as Uncle Albert from Only Fools and Horses might say During the Lockdown I built several more to keep me busy during lockdown. My hives proved quite popular and after I stopped making them I still had enquires asking when I would make them again. Well, now with another lockdown pending here I go again.
