FLAT PACKED NATIONAL BEEHIVE PLUS ACCESSORIES – FREE P&P TO MAINLAND UK. A complete, flat packed , National Beehive made by Thornes in our factory in Lincolnshire. Made from home grown Cedar from sustainable forests. Timber may have solid live knots. All frames are second quality and made predominantly from Russian Redwood. Brood body with 11 D. 4 frames on metal runners with standard wired foundation. Slotted steel queen excluder. Two supers each with 10 SN1 frames on metal castellations with 20 sheets of british standard shallow wired foundation. Crownboard with two plastic porter bee escapes. Large smoker with guard. Get it fast – we offer overnight courier as standard to most of the mainland UK if ordered before 3pm. The couriers do not deliver during the weekend. Check out my other items. This beautifully refinished solid chest of drawers would look great in any bedroom. Hand painted in Midnight Blue from Fusion Mineral Paint and finished with a lovely bee and honeycomb design. This sideboard has 5 drawers. Each drawer is 10 cm tall inside. Measurements are rounded up to the nearest centimetre, meaning that you can be confident that the item will fit your intended space. PRE-LOVED FURNITURE This is a vintage piece of furniture so may show signs of a previous life in the form of background repairs, wear and knocks. This in no way hinders the functionality and only adds to the character and history of the piece. Traditional bee hive, working and complete WBC beehive, antique, garden ornament

This is a WBC style Victorian hive, which is the model most people think of in terms of bee hives. Unlike the box hives, this is a double layered system that is well insulated and dry. This is an old inherited hive and presumed to be at least 50yrs old possibly a lot older! Great condition, robust and solidly built and freshly painted inside and out. This is a big heavy hive that would be lovely as a garden ornament or focal feature. However, its also fully usable and comes with. 1 x Hive stand, complete with entrance and solid base. 4 x lifts (lower lift has attached porch). 1 x traditional roof with vents front and back. Very heavy and thick wood. 1 x brood chamber. 2 x supers (honey levels). 1 x queen excluder. 1 x crown board with holes for bee escapes. This is collection only. I could attach to a pallet but I think that would be an expensive option. Around 107 high and lifts are roughly 52cm square. This is a beautiful, well built and historical hive and would look superb in any garden. (A couple more hives of different style are currently being refurbished and will be listed shortly).
