Used Commercial Bee Hives, Complete with brood chamber & three supers, Floor with entrance block, Zink short slot queen excluder crownboard & roof. FIVE available – Plus extra supers – see more detail below. Brood chamber is western red cedar, and is of commercial manufacture. Other parts pine and were constructed by myself to British standards. Roofs covered in heavy grade mineral surfaced. Brood chambers have well used comb, some a bit rough. “Complete hives” have supers that have comb , or comb that has been “scraped” to remove granulated rape honey – the bees soon rebuild it – but this technique does result in distorted comb. ONE HIVE HAS ONE OF THE THREE SUPERS NEEDING NEW FOUNDATION. I also have SOME SUPERS THAT ARE COMPLETE WITH FRAMES THAT REQUIRE NEW FOUNDATION. NOTE : PHOTOGRAPHS are for guidance. INDIVIDUAL HIVES have the same appearance EXCEPT in the “age” of the roofing material HOWEVER ALL ARE WATERTIGHT. A hive such as this is very attractive to a SWARM OF BEES who work wonders with older comb!!
