Very unusual vintage canteen of cutlery – find another to match this one!! Canteen is maybe best described as beehive or chalet shaped – of oak. Firth stainless of Sheffield. Serves 6 and all complete less one of the very large spoons which we think are probably serving spoons. Oak box is in excellent condition other than an historic repair – see photo – where damage was made strong again with screw and presumably glue. Interior just has age related marks to lining but otherwise again very good/excellent for age. This was retailed in Liverpool by a lovely shop called Bunney’s which closed in 1956. We think this was probably bought as a wedding present circa 1940’s.
