1950s JC HIGGINS BEEHIVE SPRINGER FORK+FRAME COLOR FLOW BICYCLE VINTAGE 50 JET! Here is a super cool frame with “Beehive” springer fork, and more which was removed from an early 1950s era Sears JC HIGGINS Jet Flow or “Color flow” 26 balloon tire bicycle! (serial number is 226289) These are cool, unique, and you rarely see them. Includes the frame, front “Bee-Hive” springer fork, cool JC Higgins head badge, seat post clamp, neck/stem, and everything shown in the upper pics. I believe is correct for a Sears/JC Higgins Colorflow, Jet flow, etc. Would fit most bikes and would be cool on an old rat rod, hot rod, Schwinn, B6, DX, Roadmaster, Columbia, Elgin, Hawthorne, Hiawatha, Rollfast, etc etc etc. What you see is what you get in exact condition shown. Beehive terminals, an offshoot of Beehive Medical Electronics of Salt Lake City, produced computer terminals for data entry on mainframe computers. Much like Computer Terminal Corporation, they emulated many different types of terminal on a single device using software. Beehive terminals had the advantage that the keyboard was attached with a cable and could be easily changed to provide simple editing functions and other facilities. Computer items are vintage. Minimal testing has been done. They are not offered as perfect, as they are up to 35 years old. Early microcomputers were known to have faults and require technical knowledge to repair or operate properly. You are free to ask questions. LANGSTROTH S L O V E N I A N B E E H I V E S 2 story + 1 story with 2/3 frames. This newly designed and manufactured hive allows all users of Langstroth size frames to have the advantages of the well known Slovenian AZ hive. This means that in many parts of the world beekeepers will be able to house their colonies in hives where the lifting of heavy boxes can become a thing of the past and where the bees can be examined at a convenient height without bending. Additionally, the hives are ideal for keeping bees in shelters or bee houses where extra protection can be given to them. This means that on opening a hive less heat is likely to escape from the colony, the bees are exposed to less direct sunlight. And shielded from cold winds. Indeed, almost under any weather conditions the colonies can be worked despite the weather which is extremely important when time related examinations need to be done as in the cases of swarm prevention and queen rearing. Many colonies can be kept side by side, or on two levels, enabling beekeepers to have. A large apiary within a very small space. The hives also give greater security to colonies than those free standing in an apiary. Until recently, beekeepers wishing to keep their bees in Slovenian hives had the problem of trying to transfer colonies from frames of other sizes, or await a swarm. Creation of this modified. Slovenian A-Z hive makes its use more easy for those who wish to make the change. The Langstroth Slovenian AZ Hive comprises three sections each one holding 10 standard Langstroth frames. In height it is about 15 cm shorter than the Slovenian AZ hive. Whereas the Slovenian Hive has frames without lugs, and has metal spacers attached to the front and back parts of the hive for spacing the frames correctly, the self-spacing Hoffman-type frames only need one spacer, at each level, above the hive entrances inside the front. The bottom of the frames rest on two horizontal rods minimising any contact and allowing the frames to be easily withdrawn and replaced. A metal grill queen excluder is provided which can be placed beneath the second or third level, and below the bottom set of frames there is a tray which can be removed so that a varroa trap can be utilised. Each of the sections has a removable, mesh screen at the back, two of which also incorporate a feeder. The bees can be fed without disturbing the bees in any way. Whilst each level has an entrance, each can be closed or left open according to the strength of the colony and the weather conditions. The main body of the hive is made in strong pine, the back door closes to darken the hive and to keep in the heat, though two hinged portions – one at the top and the other at the bottom, can be opened for extra ventilation should it be needed. The bottom hive entrance has a hinged, partly mesh alighting board, which can be closed and allows ventilation should the colony need to be moved. The other two openings can be closed with. Beautiful and practical the National Beehive, carefully and solidly made checked construction. Practically tested in different atmospheric conditions by others beekeepers. Standard frames match with it. From the outside it’s covered with spruce wainscot. Inside there is air dilatation and 2-centimeter styrofoam insulation, thanks to which bees can maintain their own microclimate. Within the National Beehive is finished by pine or spruce boards. Using a 3.2 cm wide Hoffman frame, 11 frames are insert. In the pack you get. 2x super boxes for frames heigh 14cm. Brood box for frames height 21,5 cm. In around the roof is cut ventilation. The roof is covered aluminium offset plate. Inside is OSB, 2 cm styrofoam and vapor permeable membrane. The bottom is 9 cm high and consists of cut-out frames with a thick aluminum mesh and waterproof plywood. The comfortable design of the bottom allows for quick and trouble-free cleaning of the hive and control of varroosis after treatment. In the summer, the mesh on the bottom allows good ventilation.
