Elegant Antique Oil Lamp standing 64cm tall overall. The base of the lamp is a brass Corinthian column upon a mahogany? Stepped base (smoothed off chip to corner as pictured). With a screw fit brass top. The font is a moulded wrythen patterned clear glass Baccarat Bambous? And has a screw-fit collar with good quality duplex burner fitted. The burner has a working snuffer lever and some wick remains. A 10cm brass gallery supports an unbranded round bulge chimney and very pretty turquoise glass beehive shaped shade. The shade is acid etched with butterflies among an array of flowers and leaves. The glass shade does have a small chip and bubble in the glass as pictured. It is a beehive pattern cigar lighter lamp shade. It is hand blown and has no mold lines. The shade is reversable and also fits the standard 2 inch miniature ball shade holder. Antique Victorian Etched Beehive Glass Oil Lamp Globe / Shade, 4 fitter Wreaths. A beehive shave with a deep etched pattern of wreaths and ribbons around the globe. To fit 4 shade supports/galleries. I believe it will date to the late 19th or early 20th century. I have included a number of photos and these probably describe the item better than I can and form part of the description. Condition: In a reasonable used condition, there is what looks like a chip to the underside of the top rim but I think it may well be a large air bubble that is on the under surface of the shade. There are also a number of other small chips to the under side of the top rim along with typical nibbles and small chips to the fitter. The odd decorating paint spot. Typical manufacturing irregularities including quite a few air bubbles. Please also see photos. Antique, Victorian Oil Lamp with a cranberry font and etched, beehive shade. It has a brass Corinthian column that supports the blown glass ribbed cranberry font. The Duplex burner is made by Youngs. The burner has one piece of spring metal missing (see photo). No cracks or chips on the lamp or font, and no repairs. The etched beehive shade is in good condition and it is complete with its chimney. This is a large lamp measuring nearly 27 inches to the top of the chimney. The lamp can be dismantled, and I have.
