Rare Victorian Antique Double Beehive Shaped Honey Preserve Pots On Stand
This is very rare to have a double beehive shaped preserve pots with bee finials on a twig shaped stand. The bee finials are brass and the only damage to the glass is a few very small nibbles to the left pot where the spoon sits. The right pot has no damage. The stand on each pot should have 4 leaves as holders on each side but, only have 3 each intact. Minor damage considering the age and rarity.

Uncommon and charming Victorian Staffordshire flatback group with a couple in a garden setting under an arbour, the man holding fruit and the lady decked with a garland of flowers across her shoulder. Between which a beehive skep with flying bees around it. Before and in early Victorian times, bees were housed in upturned straw baskets called skeps. The shape was conducive to the formation of the honeycomb. The downside was that turning the skep over to collect the honey killed the bees or made them homeless, and so the beekeeper had to hunt down a new wild swarm and start from scratch. Height 20 cms high approx.

Very clean victorian clear etched beehive oil lamp shade. Perfect simple shade for an elaborate lamp. Looks amazing on my standard lamp as it doesn’t steal attention from the beauty of the lamp itself. The blast etched pattern looks to be of a tulip. Minor inclusions, some bubbles and one tiny’nipple’ where the last glass lance would of been attached. 1 small chip to the fitter and one larger’thin’ chip, invisible once sat on a gallery. Width at widest 195mm. Fitter 4 inch, 10cm. Any questions please ask. Will be packed with care using some new and recycled materials. 3 SETS OF LARGE VICTORIAN OAK + BRASS BEEHIVE DOOR KNOBS ALL HAVE BEEN. FULLY RESTORED AND POLISHED. There are two sets to use with mortice locks and one set to use with rim lock. All are in great used condition some have very minor marks due to age see photos. A few of the door plates have a few marks and one is ever so slightly bent. The knobs measure 5.0cms Diameter and the door plates measure 5.5cms diameter. All are fully complete and ready to fit and come with original threaded spindles and all original grub screws.
